Joining the Guild
You must be at least level 15 to join the guild, no exceptions. Once you are, a runner will eventually invite you into the guild. The runner will give you a password that you will need to use to get into the guild. Do not forget this password! Write it down. You can not get into the guild without it. The location of each guild is on its respective map (Sorry, the maps are down for the time being.). In Landing the guild entrance is located inside Beldrin's Gaming Hall.
At the entrance of the guild, there is a door you must enter your password on. In every guild, this door is guarded by someone. In the Landing guild it is guarded by Dunphy. Don't bother opening the door after you do your password, just walk through. When you first get your password from the runner or a guildmaster, they tell you that you need to LEAN against and OPEN the door, but you actually don't have to do either. If you do so, and screw up on your password, you have to wait 15 minutes before you can try it again. But if you don't type "open door", you can still go through it, yet not get locked out if you screw up on your password too many times, because trying to open the door is what triggers the lockout. If you screw up on your password (and don't open the door), then you can reset it by leaning on the door, and then you just do your password over again.
You can add your guild passcode to Lich with the ";vars set rogue_password = x,x,x,x,x,x" command. This will allow ;go2 to use your passcode automatically.
If for some reason you ever forget your password, just ask the guard about it (ask XXX about code), and he will tell you to "tap" him on the shoulder, if you want him to give it to you. It will cost you a good bit of gems to bribe him in order for him to give it to you, though. Once inside, you need to go to the guildmaster's office. Dante is the guildmaster of the Landing guild (refer to map). You will need to pay him a 15k silver initiation fee in order to join.
There is also another way to join the guild. If you find a player guildmaster, they can also invite you. People who are thrown from the guild because they went 3 months without paying dues can only be invited this way. Or if you are too impatient to wait for the runner to invite you to the guild, you can also get invited this way. If a player guildmaster invites you, you must have 15k silvers on you to pay the initiation fee. If you join this way, you do not need to see Dante to get invited; you can go straight to guild training. The guildmaster gets 10% of the money if you are invited by them, 100 XP, and 50 fame.
As I mentioned, you must pay dues every month. Go to your local guildmaster's office to pay your dues. The cost is 5,000 silvers per month, and you can pay up to 3 months in advance. If you go 3 months without paying, you will be kicked from the guild. Once a guildmaster, you no longer have to pay silvers, but you must still check in every month or you will be kicked out.
*Note, if you are thrown from the guild because of going three months without paying dues, you do not lose any ranks that you had previously gained, but you will lose guildmaster status if you had it, and will have to be re-nominated by 2 guildmasters in order to become one again.
