Cheapshot
Cheapshot is a skill that does various offensive and status affecting attacks againt the target. There are 7 different cheapshot skills total.
Race does not affect this skill. If a cheapshot is aimed at a certain area that is covered by an armor accessory, such a helm or leg greaves, the cheapshot will not work and will give you 10 seconds of RT.
This skill is based on the SMR2 system for combat maneuvers. See the page on SMR2 for more information on how this works.
Cheapshot Training
To train in this, you have to sweep the courtyard, water flowers, wipe windows, cheapshot critters, footstomp a fellow member, and defend against a fellow member's footstomp.
Sweeping the courtyard - See sweep tasks. This task gives you 5 training points and 17 exp.
Watering flowers - This is much like wiping windows. To water flowers you must first get a can from the tool rack. There are 5 places in the guild where there's flowers, the courtyard center, south of it, east of it, north of it, and west of it (Landing Guild. The locations are found in Narost maps, otherwise.). You must wait 10 minutes to water a flower more than once. "Water wildflowers" is what you type to water them, and you need to kneel in order to do so. This task gives you 5 training points and 17 exp. If you get more than 10 reps, you can go to another guild and water the flowers there. The ;jfloo script as well as gold rings are a good way to jump between towns easily for this.
Wiping windows- First, you need to get a rag from the tool rack. There are 5 windows in all in Landing, two of them are located W and SW of the courtyard center, and there are three more through a passage SW of the courtyard center. To wipe a window, "rub window". If you get more than 5 reps, you must wait 10 minutes to be able to wipe the windows again. Like wildflowers, it's worthwhile to wipe windows in another guild when you get more than 10 reps. This gives you 5 training points and 17 exp.
Critters - This is just like critters with sweep and subdue, but you need to cheapshot them of course. If you're having trouble finding a critter to cheapshot, just refer to the Guild Skills Vs Critters chart. This task gives you 15 training points and 52 exp.
Footstomp fellow member - This will always be footstomp, even when you learn new cheapshots. This is like sweeping a fellow member, but footstomp instead. You will get about 10-20 reps of this early on, but it will stay this way throughout your entire training, unlike sweep which starts out with very few reps, but raises all the way to 30 reps. Remember to take off any spiked or flaring armor or leg greaves when stomping someone. This task gives you 12 training points and 42 exp. The person being stomped gets 10 exp per rep you get from them.
Defend footstomp - This is similar to stomping, but you have to get stomped. Remember, you need someone with no more than 2 less cheapshot ranks than you to get a rep. This task gives you 12 training points and 42 exp. The person being stomped gets 10 exp per rep you get from them.
Cheapshot Skills
All of the cheapshots cost 7 stamina to use and give you 2 seconds of RT.
Footstomp - You start with this skill at rank 1. Maneuver a target to apply Staggered for (Success Margin / 6) seconds.
Nosetweak - You learn this at rank 10. It applies Demoralized (Reduces target's AS) with a power of 20 for (5 + (Success Margin / 4)) seconds. This skill is pretty much only useful when helping someone hunt.
Templeshot - You learn this at rank 20. You must use a weapon with this skill unless you have the Unarmed Specialist combat maneuver skill. It applies Slowed (Added RT for every action the target takes) with a power of (Rank - 2) for (5 + (Success Margin / 6)) seconds.
*Note, any guild skills that require a weapon, including cheapshots, get an added bonus if you use certain small weapons, such as a dagger, hook knife, staff, blackjack, knuckle duster, etc.
Kneebash - You learn this at rank 30. This skill requires a weapon or Unarmed Specialist. It is a pretty useful to have for smaller races since they get no size penalty using it, and you can get a weapon bonus. It forces your target to kneel. It also applies Crippled (Reduced Evade/Block/Parry chance of subsequent attacks.) with a power of (Success Margin / 4) for (5 + (Success Margin / 6)) seconds and Staggered for (Success Margin / 6) seconds.
Eyepoke - You learn this at rank 43. Apply Blinded for (5 + (Success Margin / 6)) seconds. When Blinded, the target gets a 10% chance to miss you with attacks and spells, they get a -50% chance to spot you hiding, they get their Evade/Block/Parry chance reduced by 25% chance, and they can't search you out from hiding. This skill is useful for when you need to hide on a perceptive critter. I use it against the perceptive critters in Duskruin Arena, for example.
Throatchop - You learn this at rank 54. It requires a weapon. Applies Silenced for (5 + (Success Margin / 10)) seconds. This makes it so they are unable to cast or talk, and also removes and prepared spell.
Swiftkick - You learn this when you master. It forces the target into offensive stance and applies Staggered for (Success Margin / 10) seconds
